Newsletter Popup (Kings Road)
Learn how to configure the Newsletter Popup module in this section. In your control panel, go to Storefront > My Themes, click the blue "Customize" button to launch Theme Editor, then select the "Theme Styles" icon. In the left hand column of the Theme Editor, click the panel labelled 'Newsletter Popup'
We've included a simple newsletter popup module that can be configured to prompt store visitors to join the mailing list. Activate it with the checkbox in the module's Theme Editor panel. Once a visitor submits an email address, the module will set a cookie to prevent itself from appearing again for 999 days.
Enable Newsletter Popup module
Switch the popup on or off with this setting.
You can set up an image to display on the popup by following these steps:
- Create an image 640px wide and 250px high. Note the name and extension that you save it as.
- Access your store's WebDAV folder and create a folder called
contentfolder. Note that if you have already created a folder with the same name, skip this step
- Upload your banner image into the new
- In Theme Editor, enter the filename of the image into the Header Image field, exactly as you saved it, i.e.
newsletter.jpg. Do not include the path to the image.

Change this setting to determine how long a visitor must stay on a page before the popup appears.
Setting a Dismiss Cookie
Change the field 'If dismissed, show again after...' to set how many days a visitor must wait before seeing the box again after dismissing it with the close button.

If you want to override the default language strings, you can enter a custom message in these fields. Note that these fields are limited to 64 characters.
Keep in mind that these fields override the theme language files. If you are creating a multi language site, you can edit the strings directly in the translation files.
